The Power of the Portrait:
Portraits, Self Portraits and Identity
Experiment with different layouts and designs.
Use black and white and colour, text, illustration, double exposure etc.

You are going to create a Zine based on the topic that you think is important. You will need to take 5 different photoshoots based on 5 different artists or techniques. You will experiment with your images and choose 8 to be presented in your Zine. Your Zine should link closely to your chosen topic.


Create A Zine
Step 1 - You've chosen and developed your topic you think is important, to base your zine on......
Step 3 - Now you need to Research Zines

Step 4 - Complete 4 workshops developing your ideas
Experiment further with your images. You need to choose 8 images to present in your zine but each one must be edited and contain t least 3 techniques - For instance - Double exposure, slicing through and duplication.
If you think you need more images or you need to experiment more then use the workshops below or go back to the workshops on the year 10 page and keep experimenting.



















Step 5 - Experiment with your images
Remember to experiment with the different techniques you have researched.
Use black and white and colour, text, illustration, double exposure, depending on the ideas you are developing


Step 7 - Download the template to create your zine

Using images you have already edited, create a mock up of a zine using the template. Continue to experiment with layouts referring back to your original Zine research.
Create 3 different versions. Print out and fold to make your zine.
