-
Complete a photoshoot inspired by these words.
-
Use one image and edit it in 4 different ways to reflect the words you have come up with.
-
Give one of the images to the person you took the photo of and get them to edit it in their own way to express one of or a combination of the the words.
-
Present your research, photoshoot and experiments in your sketchbook.
-
Use these workshops to help you.
Explore Identity by
creating characters
Research Cindy Sherman
LO: By experimenting with creating different characters and backgrounds, explore how identity can be changed using camera and digital techniques.
Respond:
Task 1:
Create a digitally altered
background. Use images of
different places, experiment with double exposure and other techniques. Then create your characters and do a photoshoot in the studio. combine the 2 together.
How does the background link to the character?
Create a magazine cover.
Task 2:
Using actual masks, or make up/face paint, explore how you can change someones identity.
You can make your own masks, if you want to create something specific.
Use close up framing so that the face is large frame.
Task 3:
Re-create a magazine cover.
Create one that is almost a direct copy and then another which changes the expression that wouldn't usually be seen on a magazine cover.
Present the 3 together like these, original, copy, altered.
